Yodeck Adds AI Agent to Let ChatGPT and Claude Control Signage Accounts
2026-09-02 · via Digital Signage Today

Yodeck has launched an AI Agent that lets users manage their digital signage accounts through AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Claude Code CLI, according to a company announcement. The tool is built on the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI models to external software and data.
For operators, the pitch is speed. Yodeck says tasks that used to take about 10 minutes inside the platform can now be done in 10 seconds by typing a natural-language request into a supported AI assistant. The company did not specify which actions are currently supported, so it is unclear whether this covers content scheduling, screen grouping, user permissions, playlist edits or all of the above.
Yodeck, which says it serves more than 65,000 customers globally, positions itself as a low-cost cloud CMS aimed at everyone from single-location small businesses to large multi-site enterprises. The AI Agent is aimed squarely at the second group. CEO and co-founder Vangelis Mihalopoulos said in the release that AI can take on more of the operational work behind a rollout for organizations managing hundreds of screens, locations and users, and that MCP gives the company a foundation to build toward more automated management at scale.
What this means for operators
MCP has become a common connective layer for AI tools this year, and Yodeck's move follows a broader pattern of software vendors wiring their platforms into chat-based assistants rather than building their own AI interface from scratch. That approach lets Yodeck ship natural-language control without having to train or host a model itself, but it also means functionality depends on whichever assistant a customer chooses to use.
The announcement does not say how account permissions or security are handled when an AI assistant is given the ability to execute changes to a live signage network, which is a reasonable question for any IT or facilities manager evaluating this for a chain with dozens or hundreds of screens. It also does not say whether the AI Agent is included in existing Yodeck plans or requires an upgrade, nor does it give a rollout date beyond the announcement itself.
For smaller Yodeck customers running a handful of screens, the practical benefit may be marginal, since basic scheduling and content swaps in the existing dashboard are already fast. The bigger test will be whether the AI Agent can reliably handle bulk actions across large screen networks without errors, something the release does not detail with specifics or examples.

Yodeck, whose Intelligent Digital Signage Platform is used by over 65,000 customers globally, has debuted the Yodeck AI Agent to manage digital signage through AI assistants including ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Claude Code CLI, the company announced in a press release.
Built on the open Model Context Protocol, the Yodeck AI Agent turns natural-language requests into supported Yodeck account actions. Tasks that used to take 10 minutes can now take 10 seconds, giving users a faster, simpler way to manage everyday digital signage work.
"Yodeck has always made digital signage easy to manage, whether you're running one screen or thousands. The Yodeck AI Agent takes that simplicity further by letting teams automate everyday actions across their account using natural language," Vangelis Mihalopoulos, CEO and co-founder of Yodeck, said in the release. "For large organizations managing hundreds of screens, locations and users, AI can take on more of the operational work behind a rollout. MCP gives us a powerful foundation to make that possible and build toward a future where managing digital signage at scale becomes increasingly intelligent and automated."
