Xcellence Display Solutions Names European Leadership as Part of Regional Expansion

2026-11-06 · via DailyDOOH

Xcellence Display Solutions has appointed Tim de Ruiter as Commercial Director and Martin Ware as Managing Director of a newly created European division, the company announced. The moves mark a formal push by the display manufacturer to grow its presence in the region.

De Ruiter is based in the Netherlands and Ware in the UK. Their appointments come alongside new Xcellence offices in the UK, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands, which the company says complement its existing locations in New York, Dubai and Hong Kong.

For operators and integrators in Europe, the practical significance is a more visible local footprint from a manufacturer that has largely built its business from Dubai since 2003. Xcellence describes itself as a provider of custom-engineered commercial displays and components, covering dvLED, interactive displays, digital signage, professional monitors, mounting brackets and AV software. The company says it has completed more than 50,000 projects in over 110 countries, with customers including Adidas, Emirates, Rolls-Royce, JCDecaux and Prada.

The announcement does not detail specific product lines, manufacturing changes or investment figures tied to the European expansion, nor does it name additional staff beyond the two leadership hires. It also does not say whether the new offices will handle local assembly, warehousing, service support or purely sales and business development.

Why it matters to buyers

For venues and integrators sourcing dvLED or custom display hardware, a stronger regional presence from a manufacturer can mean shorter lead times, easier access to local technical support, and more straightforward warranty and service handling, assuming the new offices are staffed to deliver that. Xcellence already counts JCDecaux among its customers, which points to some existing relationships in the out-of-home and digital-signage space in Europe even before this formal division was set up.

The appointment of a dedicated Managing Director and Commercial Director for Europe suggests the company intends to compete more directly with established European and Asian display manufacturers already serving retail, hospitality, transport, corporate and education markets on the continent. Whether that translates into new product launches, pricing changes or expanded local inventory is not addressed in the announcement, and will likely become clearer as the new division begins operating.
