Visionary and tvONE Validate AVoIP-to-Video Wall Interop

Visionary Solutions and tvONE have confirmed that their products work together across a full signal path for video wall installations, giving integrators a tested route for combining networked AV distribution with centralised video processing.
The companies say Visionary's 5 Series AV-over-IP platform and tvONE's Calico Pro video processor have been validated for interoperability. For anyone speccing a control room, lobby video wall, or multi-display installation that pulls sources from different parts of a building, this matters because it removes guesswork about whether the two product lines will actually pass clean signal to each other.
How the integration works
In the tested setup, Visionary 5 Series decoders deliver HDMI signals into Calico Pro's inputs. Calico Pro processes and arranges those sources across a video wall, then its HDMI outputs can feed back into Visionary 5 Series encoders for distribution to displays elsewhere on the network.
According to the release, tvONE's engineering team tested Visionary endpoints against its input and output modules, checking resolutions, frame rates, Extended Display Identification Data and image quality. The company says the testing confirmed interoperability across the configurations it evaluated, including 4K video transport over a gigabit network.
The practical use case described is a control room where sources from multiple locations on the network feed into a centralised processor. Calico Pro handles the layout of those sources on the video wall, while the 5 Series handles getting signal to and from the processor and out to remote displays.
What it means for integrators
This is a compatibility announcement rather than a new product launch. Nothing here is a new piece of hardware: it is a validated pairing of two existing platforms, which is the kind of assurance integrators typically want before committing to a design that spans multiple vendors.
Scott Freshman, Visionary's chief operating officer, said the companies' work together "provides a validated connection between Visionary's AV-over-IP distribution and Calico Pro's video processing, whether they are bringing sources into a video wall or distributing its output to other displays."
Bob Bonniol, chief innovation officer at ACT Entertainment, tvONE's parent company, said Calico Pro is "built to streamline complex signal environments" and that the integration "extends that into networked AV-over-IP infrastructure."
The announcement does not specify pricing, availability dates, or which specific Calico Pro and 5 Series models were used in testing beyond the general product lines. It also does not detail latency figures or the exact gigabit network hardware used during validation, details integrators will likely want before finalising a bill of materials for a live deployment.

There is now a validated connection between Visionary’s AVoIP distribution and Calico Pro’s video processing, whether bringing sources into a video wall or distributing its output to other displays.
Visionary Solutions has announced interoperability between its 5 Series AV-over-IP platform and tvONE’s Calico Pro video processing capabilities.
The partnership enables integrators to route video from a Visionary network to Calico Pro for processing and display.
Visionary 5 Series Decoders deliver HDMI signals to Calico Pro inputs, while the processor’s HDMI outputs can feed Visionary 5 Series encoders for distribution back across the network.
TvONE’s engineering team tested Visionary endpoints with its input and output modules, evaluating resolutions, frame rates, Extended Display Identification Data and visual image quality. The testing confirmed interoperability across the evaluated configurations, including the transport of 4K video over a gigabit network.
For control room applications, the combined workflow allows sources from different locations on the network to feed a centralised processor. Calico Pro manages the arrangement of those sources across a video wall, while Visionary’s 5 Series handles the transportation between the source locations, processor and remote displays.
Visionary’s chief operating officer, Scott Freshman, said: “Integrators need to know how products will work together across the complete signal path.
“Our work with tvONE provides a validated connection between Visionary’s AV-over-IP distribution and Calico Pro’s video processing, whether they are bringing sources into a video wall or distributing its output to other displays.”
Bob Bonniol, chief innovation officer at tvONE’s parent company, ACT Entertainment, said: “Calico Pro is built to streamline complex signal environments, and this integration extends that into networked AV-over-IP infrastructure.
“Integrators now have a path for feeding Visionary’s distributed sources into a video wall and sending processed output back out to displays across a facility.”
