Vieunite has added comedian and artist Leigh Francis to its roster of featured artists, giving operators running the company's Textura digital canvas another content source for rotating art displays.
Francis, known for creating Bo' Selecta! and the character Keith Lemon, trained in graphic design before his television career. According to the announcement, his pop-art portraits and nostalgic illustrations will be available through the Vieunite Art Library and can be shown on Textura displays via the Vieunite app.
The partnership adds to a content library that already includes collections from the National Galleries of Scotland, the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art and the Royal Pavilion in Brighton. For Vieunite, signing a well-known television personality alongside institutional art collections is a way to broaden the appeal of its platform beyond a niche art-buyer audience into more mainstream, pop-culture territory.
Where this fits
Textura is Vieunite's dedicated art display, built with a matte, anti-glare surface and, according to the company, a brightness of 350 nits, positioned to reproduce brushstrokes and surface texture rather than to serve as a general-purpose commercial screen. That brightness level is well below typical retail or outdoor digital signage displays, underlining that Textura is designed for controlled indoor lighting rather than storefronts or high-ambient-light environments.
Vieunite sells to consumers directly but also offers Vieunite Pro, a version of the platform aimed at hospitality, corporate and other commercial venues. For operators in hospitality or workplace settings, the pitch is that digital art can be swapped into a venue's decor without an artist licensing negotiation for each individual piece, since Vieunite says participating artists retain their IP and are paid through a share of consumer licensing revenue rather than a flat sale.
The announcement does not disclose commercial terms of the Francis deal, how many works are included in his collection, or whether his content will be available to Vieunite Pro customers on the same terms as consumer subscribers. It also does not say whether this is an exclusive arrangement or how pricing for access to his collection compares with the platform's other artist partnerships.
For digital signage operators evaluating art-display platforms, the relevant takeaway is content breadth rather than hardware specification: Vieunite is building out a library that mixes fine art institutions with pop culture figures, which could matter for venues trying to appeal to a wider range of visitors than a traditional gallery-style installation would attract.

British comedian and television presenter is bringing his pop-art portraits and nostalgic illustrations to Vieunite’s Art Library and Textura digital canvas.
Comedian, television presenter and artist Leigh Francis has joined Vieunite’s creative community as its latest featured artist.
Francis’ digital artwork will be available through the Vieunite Art Library and displayed on the company’s Textura digital canvas. His portfolio joins collections from cultural partners including the National Galleries of Scotland, the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art and the Royal Pavilion in Brighton.
Best known as the creator of Bo’ Selecta! and the character Keith Lemon, Francis studied graphic design at Jacob Kramer College, now Leeds Arts University, before beginning his television career.
“When I first found out about Vieunite and its mission to bring art to people’s lives, I felt it was the perfect fit for me,” Francis said. “My work is mostly a mix of graphic nostalgia, bright, fun pop art, and seeing it displayed on these incredible digital canvases is a fantastic way to bring that anarchic joy straight into people’s everyday lives.”
Users can access Francis’ collection through the Vieunite app and include the pieces in rotating exhibitions shown on Textura displays.
Designed for artwork, Textura uses a matte, anti-glare surface and has a brightness of 350 nits. Vieunite said the display reproduces details including brushstrokes and surface textures associated with physical artwork.
The company also offers its art platform to hospitality, corporate and other commercial users through Vieunite Pro. Participating artists retain ownership of their intellectual property and receive a share of consumer licensing revenue.
