Veridooh Adds Ad Industry Veteran David Bell to Advisory Council

Independent out-of-home verification company Veridooh has appointed David Bell, a former CEO of Interpublic Group, to its Advisory Council. The move comes as the company continues to expand internationally, according to the announcement.
For operators and buyers in the OOH and digital signage space, the appointment signals where the ad-tech side of the industry is heading: toward third-party verification as a standard part of campaign delivery, not an optional add-on. Veridooh's pitch is that independent measurement builds advertiser confidence as OOH inventory gets bought and sold more like digital and programmatic media, with automated reporting and accountability expectations to match.
Bell will work alongside Veridooh co-founders and co-CEOs Mo Moubayed and Jeremy Yang on growth strategy and on expanding adoption of independent verification across the OOH sector. According to the release, Bell has more than four decades in advertising, with leadership roles at Bozell Worldwide, True North Communications and IPG. After leaving IPG he spent three and a half years as a senior advisor to Google. He was inducted into the U.S. Advertising Hall of Fame in 2007 and previously served on the board of DoubleVerify, a digital media measurement and verification company.
Moubayed framed the hire as a credibility play, saying Bell "has built and led more of this industry's defining companies than almost anyone alive" and pointing to his early backing of DoubleVerify as evidence he understands what independent verification needs to succeed. That comparison is notable: DoubleVerify became a standard reference point for digital ad verification, and Veridooh appears to be positioning itself for a similar role in OOH.
The announcement says Veridooh currently operates in eight markets, though it does not specify which ones or provide details on the company's verification technology, client roster, or funding. It also does not say what Bell's advisory role will involve day to day, or whether it comes with any financial or equity arrangement.
For digital signage network operators and OOH media owners, the relevant question is less about Bell's resume and more about what independent verification standards will mean for how campaigns are measured, reported and paid for going forward. As programmatic buying extends further into OOH and DOOH, verification providers like Veridooh are trying to become the trusted middle layer between media owners and advertisers. Bell's appointment is Veridooh's latest signal that it wants to be seen as a serious, established player in that space rather than a niche startup.

Advertising industry veteran David Bell will advise Veridooh as the OoH verification company expands internationally.
Independent OoH verification provider Veridooh has appointed advertising industry veteran David Bell to its Advisory Council as the company continues to expand internationally.
Bell, a former CEO of Interpublic Group (IPG), will work with Veridooh co-founders and co-CEOs Mo Moubayed and Jeremy Yang on the company’s growth strategy and its push to expand the adoption of independent verification in OoH advertising.
Bell has spent more than four decades in the advertising industry, including leadership roles at Bozell Worldwide, True North Communications and IPG. After IPG, he spent three and a half years as a senior advisor to Google.
He was inducted into the U.S. Advertising Hall of Fame in 2007 and has also served on the board of digital media measurement and verification company DoubleVerify.
“David has built and led more of this industry’s defining companies than almost anyone alive,” Moubayed said. “He was one of the first industry leaders to back independent verification when he worked with DoubleVerify, and that same conviction is exactly what the OoH industry needs now.”
Veridooh currently operates in eight markets and provides independent campaign verification technology for OoH advertisers. The company is positioning independent verification as a way to increase accountability and advertiser confidence as OoH becomes more integrated with digital and programmatic media buying.
