Unilumin has launched the Upanel5, a COB LED display aimed at operators who need consistent image quality at low grayscale levels and lower running costs over the product's lifecycle, according to the company.
The panel is built around full flip-chip COB and common cathode technology, which Unilumin says optimises power use at both the pixel and system level. The company also says its thermal management system holds average surface temperature to 31°C under normal operating conditions, which it frames as a way to reduce strain on components and cut maintenance needs over time.
For buyers weighing COB against conventional SMD or older COB panels, the headline spec is a 7,680Hz refresh rate at low grayscale, which Unilumin says improves colour accuracy and cuts scan lines, moiré and camera interference.
