Uniguest Retires Tripleplay, eStream and pCare Brand Names for 'Hub'
2026-08-19 · via DailyDOOH
Uniguest is retiring three long-standing product names in its portfolio. Tripleplay becomes Hub AV, eStream becomes Hub Media, and pCare becomes Hub IPS, effective immediately, according to the company. Anyone running signage, IPTV or content distribution on these platforms keeps the same software and support team, just under a new name.
For operators who have deployed Tripleplay for IPTV, digital signage and video distribution in hospitality, sports, corporate or enterprise settings, the rebrand to Hub AV does not change the underlying technology, Uniguest says. The same applies to eStream customers using it for media management, enterprise video and content delivery, now called Hub Media, and to pCare users in healthcare, whose interactive patient experience platform is now Hub IPS.
The three renamed platforms join Uniguest's existing Hub Digital Engagement Platform, which already covers hospitality and other digital experience deployments. That gives Uniguest four products carrying the Hub name: Hub, Hub AV, Hub Media and Hub IPS.
Why the consolidation
Uniguest's portfolio has expanded through acquisitions over the years, and Tripleplay, eStream and pCare each built their own market reputations under separate brand identities. James Keen, EVP Marketing at Uniguest, said the company recognizes the trust built around those names but wants a clearer structure so customers and partners can see how the platforms relate to one another.
The move follows what the company describes as a successful relaunch of Otrum last year, suggesting Uniguest is working through a broader multi-year effort to fold acquired brands into a single house identity rather than maintaining them as standalone product lines.
What this means for buyers and integrators
For current customers, the practical impact should be limited to naming on contracts, documentation, login portals and marketing material. Uniguest says the technology, roadmaps and support teams remain unchanged.
For the wider market, the renaming makes it harder to search for a known quantity. Anyone who has shortlisted Tripleplay for an IPTV and signage tender, or pCare for a hospital patient engagement project, will now need to know to look for Hub AV or Hub IPS instead. The announcement does not say whether Uniguest will maintain redirects or legacy naming in RFP responses during the transition, nor does it give a timeline for when old collateral referencing the former brand names will be fully phased out.
Uniguest positions the unified Hub family as spanning hospitality, sports and entertainment, enterprise, education and healthcare. Whether bundling these previously distinct products under one umbrella brand translates into deeper technical integration between them, or is simply a naming exercise, is not addressed in the announcement.

Uniguest has announced the renaming of three of its flagship technology platforms as part of a strategic move to bring its core portfolio together under the ‘Hub’ brand.
Effective immediately, Tripleplay is now Hub AV, eStream is now Hub Media, and pCare is now Hub IPS.
The Tripleplay, eStream and pCare brand names will be retired, with the platforms moving forward as Hub AV, Hub Media and Hub IPS respectively. Together with the existing Hub Digital Engagement Platform, the renamed solutions create a unified family of Hub platforms spanning Uniguest’s key markets and applications.
James Keen , EVP Marketing at Uniguest, told us “Tripleplay, eStream and pCare have built incredibly strong reputations in their respective markets, and we recognise the trust and recognition associated with those names. While those names are changing, the technology, expertise and relationships behind them remain. Bringing the platforms together under Hub gives us a clearer, more unified identity for the future. Moving to Hub AV, Hub Media and Hub IPS makes it much easier to understand how our platforms fit within the wider Uniguest portfolio. The technology, people and commitment our customers know remain exactly the same, but we now have a unified family of platforms that better represents who Uniguest is today and where we are heading.”
The move follows the successful relaunch of Otrum last year and represents the next stage in Uniguest’s strategy to create a clearer and more cohesive identity across its technology portfolio.
While the names are changing, the underlying platforms are not. Customers will continue to use the same technology, supported by the same teams, expertise and product roadmaps.
Hub AV, formerly Tripleplay, provides IPTV, digital signage and video distribution technology for enterprise, hospitality, sports, corporate and other professional environments.
Hub Media, formerly eStream, provides media management, enterprise video and content delivery capabilities.
Hub IPS, formerly pCare, delivers interactive patient experiences for healthcare providers.
Hub, Uniguest’s Digital Engagement Platform, provides a unified platform for managing and delivering digital experiences across hospitality and other environments.
Uniguest’s portfolio has grown through a combination of innovation and acquisition. By bringing its flagship platforms under a common identity, Uniguest aims to make it easier for customers, partners and the wider market to understand its portfolio and how its technologies can work together to create connected digital experiences.
The Hub portfolio supports organizations across hospitality, sports and entertainment, enterprise, education and healthcare, helping them deliver personalized and connected digital experiences to their audiences.
Uniguest say that the new naming structure will provide a foundation for greater alignment across the Uniguest portfolio. By bringing its flagship platforms together under Hub, Uniguest intends to strengthen collaboration across its technologies and make the breadth of its digital engagement capabilities easier for customers and partners to navigate.
