Uniguest Partners With Extreme Networks to Automate Signage Network Setup

2026-11-03 · via DailyDOOH

Uniguest has struck a partnership with Extreme Networks that lets its Hub AV media players, formerly branded Tripleplay, automatically identify themselves on networks running Extreme Fabric Attach. For venue operators running large screen estates, that means less manual, device-by-device network setup when adding or moving players.

According to the companies, the integration allows network administrators to apply preconfigured policies and automate device provisioning instead of configuring each media player's network connection by hand. Extreme Networks says edge devices like IP cameras and digital signage players have traditionally needed time-consuming manual configuration to join Fabric networks, and this integration removes that step for supported Uniguest hardware.

The pitch is aimed squarely at stadiums, arenas and other large venues where the same physical space needs to be reconfigured quickly for different events. Chuck Brooks, Director of Ecosystems and Alliances at Extreme Networks, pointed to an arena hosting basketball one night and a concert the next, each with different signage, live video and sponsor content needs. He says the integration lets venue teams add or relocate screens with less manual network work, freeing time for building fan and sponsor experiences rather than configuring connections.

Pankaj Kulkarni, EVP of Product Management at Uniguest, framed the deal as addressing a common tension for large-scale deployments: customers want systems that are powerful and reliable but also straightforward to deploy and manage. He says integrating with Extreme Fabric Attach reduces the time and complexity of configuring individual devices while giving organisations a scalable way to manage content across facilities.

The companies also say the collaboration validates Hub AV's IPTV and digital signage capabilities running on Extreme Fabric infrastructure, including high-availability failover, multicast IPTV delivery and frame-synchronised playback across multiple displays. Those are the kind of features large venues need when the same video feed has to land on hundreds or thousands of screens at once without visible lag between them.

The announcement positions this as complementary to Uniguest's existing Sports Hub product, with relevance extending to Enterprise Hub deployments in hospitality, education and other sectors where Uniguest already operates. It does not specify pricing, availability timing, or which existing Uniguest or Extreme Networks customers will get access first. It also does not detail how this compares with network automation tools from other networking vendors that signage integrators already work with, so operators running mixed-vendor infrastructure will want to ask how Fabric Attach sits alongside their current setup.

For venues already standardised on Extreme Networks gear, the appeal is clear: fewer IT hours spent on signage rollouts during tight event turnarounds. For everyone else, this is one more reminder that signage deployment at scale is increasingly a networking problem as much as a content one.

Uniguest Joins Forces w/ Extreme Networks

Uniguest has joined forces with Extreme Networks, a leader in AI-powered automation for networking, to simplify the deployment and management of IPTV and digital signage solutions across large-scale networks.

Pankaj Kulkarni , EVP of Product Management at Uniguest, told us “Sports venues and enterprises need technology that’s not only powerful and reliable, but also straightforward to deploy and manage. By integrating with Extreme Fabric Attach, we’re making it easier for customers to deploy IPTV and digital signage across their networks, while reducing the time and complexity involved in configuring individual devices. Combined with the breadth of our platform, this gives organisations a flexible, scalable solution for managing content across their facilities .

The integration enables media players running on the Hub AV ( formerly Tripleplay ) platform to automatically identify themselves to Extreme Fabric Attach, enabling network administrators to apply preconfigured policies and automate device provisioning, eliminating the need for manual, device-by-device network configuration.

An arena may host basketball one night and a sold-out concert the next, with different demands for signage, live video and sponsor content,” said Chuck Brooks , Director of Ecosystems and Alliances at Extreme Networks. “By automating how supported Uniguest media players connect to Extreme Fabric, we help venue teams add or relocate screens with less manual network configuration. That means less time configuring connections and more time creating experiences that engage fans and deliver value for sponsors.”

Traditional edge devices like IP cameras and signage do not automatically connect to Fabric networks, requiring time-consuming manual configuration for each individual device. With Fabric Attach, those devices can be automatically, seamlessly connected to an Extreme Fabric Connect network, simplifying deployment, reducing manual overhead, and extending the benefits of Fabric to the entire network edge.

The collaboration is particularly relevant for stadiums, arenas and large venues, where reliable delivery of live video, digital signage and venue information across hundreds or thousands of screens is essential. It complements Uniguest’s Sports Hub solution, while also supporting Enterprise Hub and applications across hospitality, education and other connected environments.

Beyond simplified provisioning, the collaboration also validates Hub AV’s IPTV and digital signage capabilities across Extreme Networks infrastructure for customers using Extreme Fabric, including high-availability failover, reliable multicast IPTV delivery, and frame-synchronised media playback across multiple displays.
