Uniguest Launches Hub OS to Ease Onelan, Mediastar Migration to Hub AV

Uniguest has released Hub OS, software that lets customers running Onelan and Mediastar hardware move to its Hub AV platform without swapping out their media players first. For operators sitting on large, aging estates, that means a software-led migration path rather than a forced hardware refresh.
According to Uniguest, Hub OS enables supported Onelan NTBs and Mediastar players to work with Hub AV for the first time. The company says this lets organizations with sizable installed bases start upgrading without an immediate, system-wide hardware replacement. That matters for the kind of customers Uniguest is targeting here: corporate, sports, banking, government, education and retail operators who may have hundreds or thousands of players deployed and no appetite for a big-bang cutover.
Hub AV, previously known as Tripleplay, combines digital signage, IPTV and enterprise video management in one platform, and supports on-premises, cloud and hybrid deployment.
