Uniguest has released version 26.3 of its Hub AV platform (the software formerly known as Tripleplay), adding live broadcast feed ingestion and sports data tools aimed at venues running Sports Hub. For operators managing suites, concourses and back-of-house screens, the update is about giving commercial and operations teams more of what to put on screen and more control over when it changes.

The headline feature is SRT Stream Ingest, which lets Hub AV pull in secure, low-latency broadcast feeds and push them out as multicast TV channels across a venue. According to the company, this opens the door to distributing press conferences, behind-the-scenes footage, training sessions, partner programming and alternative camera angles to hospitality areas and other screens that would not normally see that content. For venues that currently rely on a single broadcast feed piped everywhere, this is a meaningful expansion of what can be shown and where.

Data and content management additions

Uniguest has also added Major League Baseball statistics visualisations, pulling player stats, rosters, bios, game summaries and hit charts directly into digital signage and interactive TV screens. The company frames this as a way to layer live sports information alongside branded content and turn screens into fan engagement tools rather than passive displays. The release does not mention whether similar data integrations exist or are planned for other sports leagues, which will matter to venues outside baseball considering the platform.

On the content management side, the update adds support for Microsoft OneDrive folders, letting marketing, sponsorship, guest services and operations teams push approved content straight into the Hub AV digital signage library without a separate upload step. This is a workflow convenience aimed at teams juggling frequent content changes on game day rather than a new capability for viewers.

Uniguest has also updated its Interactive TV Portal to speed up creation and editing of interactive experiences, and expanded cloud support for Samsung Hospitality TVs along with access to electronic programme guides. The announcement does not detail pricing, availability dates, or which existing Sports Hub customers will receive the update automatically versus as a paid upgrade.

James Keen, Uniguest's executive vice-president of marketing, said the role of screens in sports venues has changed and that fans now expect the experience around the game to match the immediacy of the action itself. He said operations and commercial teams need the flexibility to react to what is happening in the venue in real time.

The update positions Sports Hub against other venue IPTV and signage platforms competing for stadium and arena contracts, where live feed flexibility and data integration are increasingly used as differentiators. What is missing from the announcement is any detail on hardware requirements, network bandwidth implications of running multiple multicast SRT streams, or customer references for the new features.

An update lets venue teams send press conferences, training footage and alternative camera views to hospitality, concourse and back-of-house screens, and adds player data and management tools.

Uniguest has strengthened its Sports Hub offering with a major new release of its Hub AV software platform.

Version 26.3 of Hub AV (formerly Tripleplay) brings IPTV, digital signage, live video and data-led content together across a venue, giving teams and operators more flexibility to manage and enhance the experience on every screen.

Among the most significant enhancements is SRT Stream Ingest, which enables Hub AV to receive secure, reliable, low-latency broadcast feeds and redistribute them as multi-cast TV channels across a venue.

This gives operators greater flexibility to deliver live and alternative feeds – including press conferences, behind-the-scenes content, training footage, partner programming and alternative camera views – to suites, concourses, hospitality areas and back-of-house spaces.

Major League Baseball statistics visualisations, meanwhile, bring live sports information directly into digital signage and interactive TV experiences.

Player statistics, team rosters, player bios, game summaries, hit charts and more can be presented alongside live and branded content, turning screens into richer fan engagement tools before, during and after the game.

New Microsoft OneDrive folder support makes it easier for marketing, sponsorship, guest services and operations teams to keep content current, allowing approved folders to feed directly into the Hub AV digital signage content library.

Additional enhancements to the Hub AV Interactive TV Portal make it faster to create and edit interactive experiences, alongside expanded cloud support for Samsung Hospitality TVs and access to electronic programme guides.

Changing role Uniguest’s executive vice-president of marketing, James Keen, said: “The role of screens in sports venues has changed enormously.

“Fans expect the experience around the game to be every bit as immediate and engaging as the action itself, while commercial and operations teams need the flexibility to react to what is happening in the venue in real time.

“Our latest Hub AV release responds directly to those demands. From bringing new live feeds into hospitality suites to showing real-time player statistics and making game-day content easier to manage, Sports Hub brings these capabilities together to give teams and venues more control over the entire game-day screen experience.”
