Samsung has integrated Idomoo's Lucas AI Video Agent into its Visual eXperience Transformation (VXT) content management system, giving digital signage operators a way to generate finished videos from a text prompt without leaving the platform.

According to a press release, Lucas handles the full video production pipeline, including script writing, animation and voice over, rather than producing raw footage that still needs editing. Samsung says this is a distinction from other AI video tools currently on the market. Users can also upload their own media and convert static images into video, then save the output directly to VXT Canvas, Samsung's content creation workspace within the CMS.

For operators, the pitch is speed and lower production cost. Video content for menu boards, retail screens or corporate messaging has traditionally required either in-house editing skills or an outside agency. Idomoo, an enterprise video platform, is positioning Lucas as a way to remove that step for VXT customers, with Samsung framing it as reducing both cost and complexity.

Jonathan del Rosario, head of product for Samsung's display solutions division, said in the release that the integration "builds on" VXT's mission to evolve with business needs and called it "a pivotal step in shaping the future of digital signage content creation."

The announcement does not say whether the feature carries an additional license fee on top of VXT, what output resolutions or formats are supported, or which markets and VXT tiers get access first. It also does not specify turnaround time beyond the general claim of producing video "in minutes," nor does it detail how brand guidelines or asset libraries are enforced to keep AI-generated video on-brand.

The move follows a broader pattern of CMS vendors bolting generative AI tools onto existing platforms rather than building video generation natively, letting players like Samsung move quickly by partnering with specialists such as Idomoo.
