Palmer Digital Group Named Approved Outdoor Menu Board Supplier for Burger King

Palmer Digital Group has been named an approved supplier of outdoor digital menu board systems for Burger King franchisees across the U.S. and Canada, opening the door to roughly 6,000 eligible restaurants, according to a press release from the company.
The deal lets franchisees buy Palmer Digital Group's single- and triple-panel outdoor digital menu boards to replace older drive-thru displays. Installations are already underway, with the first locations opening in Wisconsin. The company says about 18 orders have been placed so far, with roughly 30 locations expected to be operational by the end of the third quarter and about 50 by the end of 2026.
For an operator base this large, those early numbers represent a small fraction of the total opportunity. The pace of rollout over the next year will be the real test of how quickly Palmer Digital Group can scale manufacturing, shipping and installation across a franchise network spread over two countries.
Installation options
Franchisees get a choice on installation: Palmer Digital Group's own nationwide crews can handle the full project, or franchisees with their own qualified teams can install the systems themselves after completing online training. That training is led by Patrick Profitt, the company's vice president of project management and field operations. Offering both paths is a practical move for a franchise system where individual owners vary widely in size, technical staff and capital budgets, and it mirrors how other menu board suppliers try to reduce friction with multi-unit operators who don't want to depend on a single install crew's schedule.
What's in the box
The systems are built around LG 49-inch outdoor displays housed in modular enclosures that Palmer Digital Group says are designed to cut long-term maintenance costs. The release does not detail brightness ratings, weatherproofing certifications, content management software, pricing, or how the boards integrate with kitchen or POS systems, all of which franchisees will likely want answered before committing capital. It also does not say whether the boards support dynamic pricing, AI-driven upselling, or other features increasingly common in QSR drive-thru menu boards from competitors.
Chuck Lewis, president of Palmer Digital Group, called the agreement validation of the company's work over the past several years and said the systems were engineered for modularity and easy installation. He said the dual installation model gives operators flexibility to match the approach to their own staffing and budget situation.
For Burger King franchisees weighing an upgrade, the approved-supplier status simplifies procurement, but the real decision points, cost, warranty terms, and long-term reliability in outdoor conditions, aren't addressed in the announcement.

"This partnership is another validation of what we've built over the last several years," Chuck Lewis, president of Palmer Digital Group, said in the release. "Being selected by one of the world's most recognized QSR brands reinforces our reputation for delivering reliable, innovative outdoor digital menu board solutions that are designed to last while making installation and long-term ownership easier for operators."
Franchisees can choose professional installation by Palmer Digital Group's nationwide team or complete the project themselves after receiving online training. Training for self-installation is led by Patrick Profitt, vice president of project management and field operations.
"Our menu board systems were engineered with modularity and ease of installation in mind," Lewis said in the release. "Some franchisees prefer to have our experienced installation crews manage the entire project, while others already have qualified teams in place. By supporting both approaches and providing comprehensive training, we're giving operators the flexibility to choose the model that works best for their business."
The systems utilize LG 49-inch outdoor displays integrated into modular enclosures designed to reduce maintenance costs. With approximately 6,000 Burger King restaurants eligible to purchase through the approved supplier program, the agreement marks a significant expansion for Palmer Digital Group within the quick-service restaurant market.
