Ocean Outdoor Enters French Market via Cityz Media Deal at Klépierre Malls

Ocean Outdoor has struck a partnership with French OOH/DooH network operator Cityz Media to bring its brand experience and production units into Klépierre's shopping centres in France. The deal marks Ocean Outdoor's entry into the French market, extending its footprint beyond the seven other European countries where it already operates, including the UK, the Netherlands, the Nordics and Germany.
The agreement covers 38 Klépierre locations, among them Créteil Soleil and Val d'Europe in the Paris region and Grand Place in Grenoble. It sits inside Cityz Media's existing DooH contract with Klépierre, which the company retained after a competitive tender. Cityz Media already runs the network for Westfield in France, another Ocean Outdoor partner market, so the two companies had an existing relationship to build on.
For operators and media owners, the notable part of this deal is not screen deployment itself, since Cityz Media already runs the hardware across these malls with a mix of large- and small-format full-motion displays. Instead, Ocean Outdoor is supplying production and creative capability through Ocean Labs, its brand experience unit, and Ocean Studio, its in-house design department, to help build large-scale OOH and experiential campaigns for advertisers using the space. According to the release, this brings Ocean Labs and Studio operations to nine markets in total.
Didier Quillot, CEO of Cityz Media, said access to Ocean Labs and Studio would strengthen the company's DooH production capabilities by tapping into what he called the best creative minds in the business. Catherine Morgan, Group Managing Director of Ocean Labs, framed the move as recognition of growth in DooH within premium shopping malls, and said it would give brands and agencies new ways to build audience connections at scale in France.
The agreement also brings Klépierre into The Alliance, Ocean Outdoor's international sales network, which the company says spans 12 countries. That detail matters for media buyers, since it signals these French mall inventory sites will be sellable alongside Ocean's other premium DooH locations internationally rather than only through domestic channels.
What the announcement does not say is any detail on screen counts, technical specifications, contract length, or financial terms of the arrangement. It also does not specify whether Ocean Outdoor will have any direct commercial or hardware role in these locations beyond the production support described, or how revenue from campaigns produced through Ocean Labs and Studio will be split with Cityz Media.
The move follows recent changes Ocean Outdoor made to its Piccadilly Lights site in London, continuing a pattern of the company expanding its experiential and large-format DooH work across Europe.
