Monumental Sports & Entertainment has named LG Electronics USA the official television, commercial display and appliance partner for the redeveloped Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., putting LG Direct View LED technology throughout the venue as part of a long-term deal.

The agreement, announced as the arena's second redevelopment phase nears completion, covers exterior LED displays, interior LED and television screens, and digital signage across a new business and conference center. ANC will handle integration, implementation and ongoing service of the display systems, according to the announcement.

The centerpiece is what the companies are calling the "Visibowl," more than 500 feet of digital displays wrapped around the arena's concourses, replacing conventional walls. The idea is to let fans keep an eye on live action while they move through the building to get food or use the restroom, rather than missing plays. The expanded network will also carry sponsorship content, wayfinding and what Monumental describes as immersive storytelling during events.

For arena operators watching this deal, the scale is the notable part. A 500-foot continuous LED run is a significant commitment to Direct View LED over more conventional LCD video walls, and it signals where large-venue budgets are heading: away from isolated scoreboards and ribbon boards toward continuous, building-wide display surfaces that double as sponsorship inventory.

LG will also put its name on the LG Collective, a premium seating and hospitality lounge opening on the arena's District Level (formerly the 100 Level) for the 2026-27 Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals seasons. That space combines a bar and lounge with all-inclusive food and beverage service and views into the seating bowl, connecting directly to reserved seats.

Jim Van Stone, president of business operations and chief commercial officer at Monumental Sports & Entertainment, said the arena is undergoing "the most significant transformation in its history, with technology playing a central role in redefining the fan experience." ANC President and CEO Jerry Cifarelli said pairing LG's display hardware with ANC's integration and game-day content work would extend the digital experience across every level of the building.

The announcement does not give a timeline for when the Visibowl or other displays will go live, nor does it specify pixel pitch, resolution or the total number of screens involved. Capital One Arena is home to the NBA's Washington Wizards, the NHL's Washington Capitals and the WNBA's Washington Mystics.
