LG Launches Magnit Gen 2 Micro LED With NovaStar Control in US

LG Electronics USA is bringing its Magnit Gen 2 Micro LED Lmpd display to the US market, pairing the panel with NovaStar's Coex 5G control system for the first time. What else changed
Beyond the control system, LG lists a handful of panel-level updates. Fine Line Aligned Tile technology aligns modules during manufacturing to reduce visible seams and gaps between tiles. Viewing angles are rated at 160 degrees both horizontally and vertically. A five-stage grayscale calibration process is meant to hold color consistency at low brightness, which has historically been a weak point for some Micro LED and LED products when content dims. LG also cites full black coating, surface treatment and narrow-wavelength LED chip selection as contributors to contrast and color accuracy. The display supports HDR10 and Hybrid Log-Gamma.
What is missing
The announcement does not give pixel pitch, panel sizing, brightness specs, or pricing, all of which matter for anyone comparing this against competing Micro LED and fine-pitch LED offerings from Samsung, Sony or other suppliers already established in high-end commercial and home cinema deployments. It also does not say when broader availability or additional showroom placements beyond Starpower's Dallas location will follow. For integrators evaluating Micro LED for large venue work, the extended cable-run distance is the concrete, verifiable improvement here. LG Electronics USA has introduced the Magnit Gen 2 Micro LED Lmpd, a new large-format display designed for commercial and high-end residential installations.
The Lmpd combines LG’s Micro LED technology with NovaStar’s Coex 5G control system. It will make its first public appearance in the US on Sept. 15 at Starpower’s flagship showroom in Dallas.
NovaStar’s Visual Management Platform brings screen configuration, real-time monitoring, diagnostics, color processing and system management into a single interface, which LG says will help integrators configure and operate Micro LED installations more efficiently.
