ISE's Spark Event Expands for 2027 With More Space, New Venue
2026-11-02 · via invidis

Spark, the creative technology event that debuted alongside Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in 2026, is growing for its second edition, set for February 3-4, 2027, in Barcelona. For digital signage and AV professionals who attend ISE, it signals another reason to extend a trip to the show, which runs February 2-5 at Fira Gran Via.
The event moves to Hall 8 at Fira de Barcelona's Montjuïc venue, a separate site from ISE's main location. Organizer Integrated Systems Events says the new space offers more than 2,500 square meters, roughly 27,000 square feet, along with two conference stages and several immersive installations.
According to the organizer, Spark's 2026 debut drew 2,086 visitors from 79 countries and 1,400 companies, with 39 percent of attendees in senior decision-making roles. Those figures suggest Spark is positioning itself as a networking and discovery event for buyers rather than just a showcase, which matters for signage integrators and content producers weighing whether a side trip is worth the time.
Conference and Content
The 2027 program runs under the theme "The Art of And," focused on how creative disciplines and technology intersect in content production, entertainment and immersive storytelling. The schedule splits into two tracks: Spark Arena, a paid stage for discussions on creativity and emerging technology, and Spark Forum, a free stage aimed at practical applications and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Confirmed speakers include Simon Lachance, technical director at Cirque du Soleil, lighting designer Tim Routledge, Manuel Gómez Zotano of Spanish broadcaster RTVE, and Anna Diaz Ortuño of Hamill Industries. The release does not list a full speaker roster or session schedule.
Exhibition Floor
Lab of Tomorrow, the innovation arm of music festival Tomorrowland, returns for a second year, giving developers and creative professionals a space to test new applications.
A new installation called Sol Garden will use projection, sound and visual storytelling to explore natural phenomena, developed with creative studio Artdott and Reuko, with technology contributed by Barco, Ross Video and Intorno Labs. The involvement of Barco and Ross Video, both familiar names in the pro AV and broadcast display supply chain, gives the installation a direct tie to commercial display technology rather than pure art-for-art's-sake production.
The Immersive Pavilion will host extended reality demonstrations and unspecified world premieres from Immensiva and Espronceda.
The announcement does not detail ticket pricing, exhibitor list beyond those named, or how Spark's content ties into ISE's own digital signage and DOOH programming taking place the same week across town.
