Bluefin International Becomes Vendor Partner in Ellipsys Group

Bluefin International has signed on as a vendor partner with Ellipsys Commercial Technology Group, giving the group's network of commercial systems integrators another source for purpose-built digital displays on complex signage projects, according to a press release.
Ellipsys describes itself as an ecosystem for commercial systems integrators, offering education, technology partnerships, business resources and industry collaboration. Adding Bluefin as a vendor partner means integrators in that network gain a more direct line to Bluefin for consultative support on projects that call for non-standard hardware, such as touch displays, ultrawide formats or other form factors outside the usual commercial panel lineup.
For integrators, the practical pitch here is about reducing the number of components in a deployment. Frank Pisano, CEO of Bluefin International, said in the release that the company builds compute directly into its displays, which cuts out separate media players, extra cabling and the added complexity that comes with them. That approach is not unique to Bluefin. Several display manufacturers now offer system-on-chip or built-in-compute options aimed at the same problem: fewer boxes to mount, fewer points of failure, and less to troubleshoot on site. What Bluefin is emphasizing as its differentiator is flexibility in form factor for projects that off-the-shelf displays cannot handle.
Pisano framed the value of the Ellipsys relationship in terms of installation and delivery risk rather than just product specs, saying a winning digital signage project depends on a solution an integrator can install cleanly, deliver on time and stand behind. Chris Whitley, executive director of Ellipsys Commercial Technology Group, echoed that framing, saying Bluefin brings flexibility, technical expertise and integrator-focused support along with knowledge of what a full signage deployment requires.
The announcement does not specify which Bluefin display lines or compute platforms will be made available through Ellipsys, nor does it name other vendor partners already in the group for comparison. It also does not detail pricing, support terms, or a timeline for when Ellipsys members can begin sourcing Bluefin hardware through the partnership.
For integrators already working within the Ellipsys ecosystem, the addition gives another option when a project spec calls for something a standard commercial panel cannot deliver, particularly touch or ultrawide installations where sourcing and support have historically been harder to find. Whether this translates into more competitive pricing or faster turnaround for those integrators is not addressed in the release, and would be worth asking Bluefin or Ellipsys directly before committing to a project.

Bluefin International, a global manufacturer of purpose-built digital displays, has joined Ellipsys Commercial Technology Group as a vendor partner.
The partnership will connect Bluefin more directly with Ellipsys members, providing commercial systems integrators with consultative support and flexible display solutions for complex digital signage projects, according to a press release.
"Winning a digital signage project is about more than the display on the wall," Frank Pisano, CEO of Bluefin International, said in the release. "It means designing a solution the integrator can install cleanly, deliver on time and confidently stand behind — even when the project calls for touch, ultrawide or a form factor most suppliers cannot provide. By building powerful compute directly into the display, we eliminate extra players, cabling and complexity. Joining Ellipsys allows us to work alongside integrators as a consultative resource and help them win more of these ambitious projects."
Ellipsys Commercial Technology Group provides an ecosystem designed to help commercial systems integrators grow through education, technology partnerships, business resources and industry collaboration.
"Bluefin brings the combination of flexibility, technical expertise and integrator-focused support that we value in an Ellipsys partner," Chris Whitley, executive director of Ellipsys Commercial Technology Group, said in the release. "The Bluefin relationship brings high-quality integrated displays with unique form factor adaptability along with a vast knowledge of the required ecosystem required for successful digital signage deployments that will be invaluable to our members."
