AVI-SPL has named Daryl Grove as its new Managing Director for Asia Pacific, a move the company says will bring its operations across the region under a single leadership structure. Grove takes up the role on January 1, 2027.
For integrators and end customers working with AVI-SPL across markets like Australia, India, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong, the appointment signals a consolidation of regional management rather than a change in strategy or service offering. AVI-SPL, a global AV and technology solutions provider whose work spans conferencing, collaboration and digital signage deployments, says the move reflects continued investment in the region and builds on what it calls strong existing foundations.
Grove is based in Hong Kong and has worked in Asia Pacific for 26 years. He joined AVI-SPL in 2021 as Asia Pacific Sales Director and was promoted to Regional Director of Sales, International two years later. Before entering the audiovisual industry in 2009, he spent time at PwC and worked in New Zealand and Hong Kong. He is a member of AVI-SPL's International Leadership Team.
In AVI-SPL's announcement, Grove said Asia Pacific has played a defining role in his career and personal life, and that he looks forward to working with teams across the region as the business enters what he called its next chapter. He pointed to existing customer relationships and team expertise as the basis for creating more value for customers, partners and employees going forward.
The announcement does not detail what specific operational changes will follow from the unified leadership structure, nor does it name who held regional leadership responsibilities previously or how those roles will be reorganised under Grove. It also does not say whether the appointment comes with changes to AVI-SPL's digital signage or managed services business in the region specifically, as opposed to its broader AV integration work.
For digital signage operators and resellers who work with AVI-SPL as an integration partner in Asia Pacific, the practical takeaway is a single point of regional accountability from January 2027. Whether that changes response times, project delivery or regional support structures is not addressed in the company's statement. AVI-SPL frames the appointment as evolutionary, building on an existing footprint rather than signalling a shift in direction.
Grove's two-year run as Regional Director of Sales, International positioned him as an internal candidate with direct knowledge of the company's Asia Pacific client base, something AVI-SPL emphasises in explaining the choice.

Having first joined the global technology solutions provider in 2021, Daryl Grove will step into his new role in January 2027.
Global technology solutions provider AVI-SPL announced early in November that it had appointed a new Managing Director, Asia Pacific. Daryl Grove is now poised to assume the role as the company seeks to align “its operations across the region under a unified leadership structure.”
Based in Hong Kong, Grove assumes responsibility for the many markets in the region, including Australia, India, Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong itself.
According to AVI-SPL’s official announcement, Grove’s appointment to this post reflects its “continued investment in Asia Pacific and marks the next stage in the region’s evolution, building on the strong foundations already established across the business while further connecting the region to AVI-SPL’s global capabilities, expertise and customer network.”
Grove has more than two decades of leadership experience in the Asia Pacific region, having lived and worked there for 26 years. After beginning his career at PwC in the UK in the 1990s, and then moving to New Zealand and Hong Kong, he entered the audiovisual industry in 2009. In 2021, he joined AVI-SPL as Asia Pacific Sales Director, and was promoted to Regional Director of Sales, International two years later.
Commenting on his appointment, Grove said “Asia Pacific has played a defining role in both my career and personal journey, and I’m honored to be taking on this role and look forward to working with our teams across the region as we enter this next chapter in January.”
He added that the teams, customer relationships and “shared commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes” would enable him and the International Leadership Team of which he is a member to “build on the strengths that already exist across our markets, draw on the expertise of our teams throughout the region, and create even more value for our customers, partners and employees. I’m excited about what we can achieve together in the years ahead.”
Grove will step into his new role on January 1, 2027.
