Australian QSR Group Aktiv Brands Deploys Fusion Signage CMS
2026-08-25 · via DailyDOOH
Aktiv Brands, the Australian operator behind Bucking Bull Roast & Grill and Skewerz Kebabz, has rolled out Fusion Signage as the content management platform for its digital menu boards, according to the companies. The move gives the quick service restaurant group a single system for pushing menu, pricing and promotional updates across both chains instead of relying on printed signage.
For operators managing multiple QSR sites, the pitch here is familiar: one change made centrally reaches every store, or a selected subset of stores, in close to real time. Georgina Japor of Aktiv Brands said the platform lets the business schedule campaigns in advance and rotate multiple promotions on the same screen, which the company says gives it more flexibility to respond to changing business conditions.
The release does not specify how many locations Aktiv Brands operates, what hardware is running the software, or what the previous signage setup looked like beyond "traditional printed signage." It also does not name a rollout date beyond the general timeframe implied by the announcement, nor does it disclose pricing or contract terms.
Why a QSR group picked this over alternatives
Aktiv Brands says the deciding factor was the growing complexity of running promotions and menu changes across two brands and a growing store network. As promotional cadence increased, the company says print could no longer keep pace with the speed and consistency it needed. That is a common driver behind QSR CMS switches industry-wide, and it puts Fusion Signage in competition with other menu-board-focused CMS vendors serving the same pain point, though the announcement does not compare Fusion Signage against any named competitors.
Japor credited the platform's balance of "powerful functionality and ease of use," saying it is built to scale from single screens to large multi-site networks. Those are vendor and customer claims rather than independently verified performance data, and the release provides no uptime figures, update-speed benchmarks or cost savings numbers to back them.
Amped Digital's role
The deployment was carried out by Amped Digital, an Australian digital signage integrator that focuses on large-format retail displays and digital menu boards, including drive-thru systems. Amped Digital says it has delivered signage projects for businesses ranging from 10 to more than 1,000 sites and that it recommends Fusion Signage as its preferred CMS. The company's involvement points to the continued role of specialist integrators in QSR signage rollouts, where hardware selection, network design and store-level installation matter as much as the software itself.
What the announcement frames as a business outcome, faster promotions, consistent branding across two chains, less manual admin work, is presented entirely through statements from Aktiv Brands and its partners. No independent measurement of sales impact, customer response or operational savings is included.

Aktiv Brands, the Australian retail food brand developer and manager behind Bucking Bull Roast & Grill and Skewerz Kebabz, has implemented the Fusion Signage software solution across its quick service restaurant operations, delivering a more agile, consistent and visually engaging in-store experience.
Georgina Japor from Aktiv Brands said, “Fusion Signage now gives our business a central platform for managing digital menu boards, special offers, brand messaging and campaign content across both Bucking Bull and Skewerz Kebabz. Updates can be deployed quickly across selected stores or the full network, campaigns can be scheduled in advance, and multiple promotions can be rotated on the same screen, giving the brands greater flexibility in how they market products and respond to changing business requirements. Fusion Signage’s appeal lies in the balance it strikes between powerful functionality and ease of use. The platform is designed to be simple, intuitive and flexible, making it suitable for businesses managing anything from a single screen to large multi-site networks.”
With multiple locations operating across two distinct brands, Aktiv Brands required a platform that could centralise control of digital menu boards and promotional content while supporting faster updates, stronger brand consistency and more efficient day-to-day operations. Fusion Signage was selected as the solution that could meet those needs today while also supporting the group’s long-term growth plans.
For Aktiv Brands, the move to Fusion Signage was driven by the increasing complexity of managing menus and promotions across a growing network. As promotional activity became more dynamic and the need for speed and consistency increased, traditional printed signage was no longer able to provide the same level of responsiveness.
The practical value created by the platform is significant. Aktiv Brands can now launch national promotions, update pricing, refresh menu items and manage store-specific content quickly and efficiently, without the delays and administrative burden associated with print-based signage. The ability to make a single change and see it reflected across an entire network almost immediately gives the business a meaningful operational edge in the fast-moving QSR sector. It also frees up marketing and operations teams to focus more on customer experience and campaign execution rather than manual update processes. Just as importantly, the digital format helps create a more modern and engaging customer environment while ensuring accurate and consistent presentation across both brands.
The project was delivered with the support of Amped Digital, whose role further highlights the importance of specialist expertise in successful digital signage rollouts. Amped Digital is one of Australia’s leading digital signage experts, with dedicated focus on large-format retail displays and digital menu board systems, including drive-thru environments.
The company provides end-to-end services from planning and design through to deployment, and its experience with businesses ranging from 10 to more than 1,000 sites has made it a strong partner for brands seeking scalable signage outcomes. Its decision to recommend Fusion Signage as its premier software platform reflects confidence in the solution’s reliability, usability and ability to deliver measurable business value in real-world environments.
We are told that the Aktiv Brands project is a strong example of how QSR operators can use digital signage not simply as a display tool, but as a business system that improves agility, strengthens brand consistency, supports promotional effectiveness and enhances the in-store customer experience.
