Aktiv Brands, the Australian company behind quick service chains Bucking Bull Roast & Grill and Skewerz Kebabz, has deployed Fusion Signage digital signage software across its store network, according to a press release. The move replaces a more fragmented approach to managing menu boards and promotions across multiple locations and two separate brands.

For an operator running two QSR brands, the practical problem is one familiar to multi-site retailers everywhere: keeping menu pricing, special offers and brand messaging consistent when stores are updated on different schedules or by different staff. According to Georgina Japor of Aktiv Brands, the company needed a central platform to manage digital menu boards, offers, brand messaging and campaign content across both chains from one place.

The release says Fusion Signage lets Aktiv Brands push updates to selected stores or the entire network, schedule campaigns in advance, and rotate multiple promotions on the same screen. Japor said this gives the brands more flexibility to respond to changing business needs, such as launching national promotions, adjusting pricing or refreshing menu items without relying on printed signage.

That last point is the real business case here. Print-based menu updates carry lead time and production cost, and errors mean reprinting. A cloud-managed CMS removes that lag, at least in theory, and shifts the workload from physical production to content scheduling. Aktiv Brands says this frees marketing and operations staff to focus on campaign execution and customer experience rather than manual update processes, though the release does not quantify any time or cost savings.

The deployment was carried out with Amped Digital, described in the release as one of Australia's digital signage integrators. Japor credited the partnership between Aktiv Brands, Amped Digital and Fusion Signage for aligning software capability with implementation expertise and operational need.

What is not in the release

The announcement does not specify how many stores or screens are involved, what hardware or media players are being used, or a timeline for the rollout. There is no mention of integration with point-of-sale systems, which is often the harder technical problem in QSR menu board deployments, since price changes ideally need to sync between the till and the screen. There is also no data on speed of deployment or cost compared to the previous print-based process.

Fusion Signage markets itself as a CMS built for businesses ranging from single-screen operators to large multi-site networks, and says it is used by more than 5,000 Australian businesses. This deployment reads as a fairly standard vendor case study: a QSR operator consolidating menu board management under one platform as its store count and brand portfolio grow, a common driver for CMS purchases in the restaurant sector generally.

Aktiv Brands, an Australian retail food brand developer and manager behind the Bucking Bull Roast & Grill and Skewerz Kebabz quick service restaurants, has implemented Fusion Signage digital signage software solution across operations to drive a more agile, consistent and visually engaging in-store experience.

Aktiv Brands needed a platform to centralize control of digital menu boards and promotion content given multiple locations operating across two brands, according to a press release.

Deploying Fusion Signage software was driven by the increasing complexity of managing menus and promotions across a growing network, according to Georgina Japor, of Aktiv Brands.

"Fusion Signage now gives our business a central platform for managing digital menu boards, special offers, brand messaging and campaign content across both Bucking Bull and Skewerz Kebabz. Updates can be deployed quickly across selected stores or the full network, campaigns can be scheduled in advance, and multiple promotions can be rotated on the same screen, giving the brands greater flexibility in how they market products and respond to changing business requirements,"Japor said in the release.

Aktiv Brands can now launch national promotions, update pricing, refresh menu items and manage store-specific content quickly and efficiently, without the delays and administrative burden associated with print-based signage.

It also frees up marketing and operations teams to focus more on customer experience and campaign execution rather than manual update processes.

"Fusion Signage's appeal lies in the balance it strikes between powerful functionality and ease of use. The platform is designed to be simple, intuitive and flexible, making it suitable for businesses managing anything from a single screen to large multi-site networks," said Japor.

The platform was delivered with the support of Amped Digital, one of Australia's digital signage experts.

"Together, the partnership between Aktiv Brands, Amped Digital and Fusion Signage demonstrates what modern digital signage can achieve when software capability, implementation expertise and operational need are closely aligned," Japor said.
