Almo, JAM, Comm-Tec Sold to Private Equity in $725m Nexora Deal

DCC Energy plc has agreed to sell the North American and European distribution businesses of Nexora to private equity firm One Equity Partners at an enterprise value of $725m, according to a statement from Nexora. The deal matters to signage operators because Almo and JAM, two of the largest distributors of commercial displays and digital signage hardware in North America, sit inside the sold portfolio, alongside Comm-Tec, Azenn Connect, CapTech and Hammer in Europe.
Nexora says the businesses being sold generate more than $3bn in annual revenue and work with over 30,000 partners, a figure that gives a sense of the scale of the distribution channel changing hands. For integrators and resellers who buy displays, media players and mounting hardware through Almo or Comm-Tec, the immediate question is whether a new private equity owner changes pricing, stock availability, or the range of brands carried. The announcement does not address any of that, and Nexora says the existing management team will stay in place.
Background on Nexora
Nexora was created in December 2025 when DCC plc rebranded its Technology division after selling its Exertis UK and Ireland business to private equity firm Aurelius. That separated business did not fare well: Exertis AV closed in March 2026 and Exertis (UK) Ltd entered administration in May 2026. Nexora's own statement draws a contrast with that outcome, pointing out that its North American and European pro AV distribution businesses report higher margins than the UK operation that was sold off separately and later collapsed. Readers should treat that comparison as Nexora's own framing rather than independently verified financial detail, since the announcement gives no actual margin figures.
A familiar buyer in pro AV
One Equity Partners is not new to the sector. The firm already owns Kinly, the AV integrator formed through its 2024 acquisition of Yorktel and Yorktel's 2025 merger with Kinly. Picking up Nexora's distribution arms extends One Equity Partners' footprint from integration into distribution, giving it a stake in both ends of the AV supply chain. Nexora describes the firm as experienced in B2B and technology investing with more than 500 completed transactions, and says it expects that experience to support further acquisitions of local trading brands, a strategy Nexora says it intends to continue.
The deal is expected to complete on or after 1 March 2027, pending regulatory approval. The announcement does not say whether any changes to brand names, product lines, or regional operations are planned once the sale closes, so operators who rely on these distributors for signage hardware will need to watch for further detail as the transaction moves toward completion.

The Nexora pro AV distribution businesses, which include Almo and JAM in North America and Comm-Tec in Europe, will be acquired by One Equity Partners which already owns Kinly.
DCC Energy plc has agreed to sell its Nexora North American and European AV, IT, MI and consumer tech distribution businesses to private equity firm One Equity Partners at an enterprise value of $725m.
The businesses include Almo and JAM in North America and Comm-Tec, Azenn Connect, CapTech and Hammer in Europe.
In a statement, Nexora said these businesses generate more than $3bn in annual revenue and work with more than 30,000 partners.
The DCC Technology division that grouped together the North American and European businesses was rebranded as Nexora in December 2025 following DCC plc’s sale of its Exertis business in the UK and Ireland to private-equity firm Aurelius.
The sale of the predominantly low-margin IT business in the UK was followed by its swift collapse with Exertis AV closing in March 2026 and Exertis (UK) Ltd entering administration in May. But Nexora’s North American and European pro AV distribution businesses have reported higher margins than the business sold separately in the UK.
Nexora’s prospective new owner, One Equity Partners, is a US-based private equity firm which is already active in the pro AV market through its acquisition of Yorktel in 2024 and Yorktel’s subsequent merger with Kinly in 2025 .
Nexora said the private equity firm has deep experience in B2B and technology, focused on North America and Western Europe, and its completion of over 500 transactions globally would bring significant expertise in mergers and acquisitions, building scale and operational excellence to the company.
Nexora will continue to be led by its existing management team, and will maintain its strategy of acquiring and accelerating the growth of specialist local trading brands.
Clive Fitzharris, CEO of Nexora, said: “One Equity Partners are a partner who share our vision and ambition to accelerate the next phase of our strategy and growth.”
Jamie Koven, partner at One Equity Partners, added: “Over the past decade Nexora has executed significant transformation projects and acquisitions to create the leading pro AV and audio distributor. With our support, we are convinced Nexora can expand its position in both North America and Europe.”
Completion of the acquisition is expected on or after 1 March 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.
